Today’s woven furniture is different. Rattan and wicker furniture are being created in modern styles with innovative materials such as synthetic wicker (also known as resin wicker, synthetic rattan, all-weather wicker) and is typically made to replicate the look of natural wicker — but is highly resilient in outdoor environments.
We use synthetic wickers in ranges like our Annecy and Chloe outdoor seating to replicate the classic Parisian look of this furniture style, but with the benefit of being durable and low-maintenance.
Prevention/Protection
Like all items of furniture, we recommend regular cleaning to avoid build-up of dirt.
Give them a break when not in use, and store them undercover or inside. While they are weather resistant, overtime the harsh NZ weather will affect them.
Avoid placing furniture in direct line of heat sources such as heaters, fireplaces, and other sources of direct heat.

- Rinse with clean water to remove residue.
- Allow to air dry before storing.
Stubborn build up
- For stubborn dirt or messes like tree sap and bird droppings, gently scrub using a soft bristle brush and warm soapy.
