Most kitchen counters sit around 90cm high, which makes 65cm stools the perfect match. This ensures guests sit comfortably, with the right amount of clearance between the seat and the counter.

What’s the difference between a bar stool and a counter stool?
Counter stools are typically 65cm high, designed for 90cm kitchen counters. Bar stools are taller, around 75cm, for high bar leaners.
What’s the best material for a family kitchen?
If you’ve got kids or messy eaters, look for stools with wipe-clean vinyl or polypropylene seats. For a warmer look, timber stools offer timeless style and are surprisingly low maintenance. The only designs that require extra care are those with rope seats, such as our Grace or Wihsbone stools because rope needs more upkeep over time.
How many stools will fit at my counter?
A good rule is 60–70cm per person for comfort. For a 2m island, three stools will fit comfortably without crowding.
Do kitchen stools come assembled?
Most of our stools come fully assembled or require minimal assembly this would typically be something simple like attaching a seat. That way, you can start using them right away.
