Nestled on the picturesque Quayside in Napier's Ahuriri Marina, Winifred's Bar & Kitchen stands as a beacon of relaxed elegance. With its stunning seaside views and an inviting atmosphere that blends coastal charm with modern sophistication, Winifred's offers a culinary experience as delightful as its surroundings. We were thrilled to partner with Winifred's and Burning Red Design to furnish this beautiful space, providing restaurant furniture that perfectly complements their vision of a vibrant, year-round dining destination.
Upon stepping into Winifred's, you're immediately greeted by a calming space defined by soft tones, bespoke timber detailing, and a beautifully crafted tiled bar. The entire design ethos, both indoors and out, embraces a "Coastal Modern with Natural Accents" theme, fostering a serene and welcoming ambiance. This commitment to natural materials, neutral palettes, and abundant plant life creates a seamless indoor-outdoor flow, perfectly reflecting its waterfront location.
Creating an Inviting
Exterior Oasis
The exterior of Winifred's is a masterclass in al fresco dining. A spacious, sun-filled patio, framed by timber panelling and large white planters, offers an informal yet chic setting. We supplied a mix of café tables and chairs that contribute to this laid-back charm. The beautiful combination of white aluminium and teak is perfectly showcased in our Karaka Outdoor Bar Leaners, providing durable and stylish surfaces for guests to gather. These are gracefully complemented by crisp white Soda Aluminium Bar Stools, which offer both comfort and a clean aesthetic.
Imagine settling into dinner at a square timber café table, enjoying the gentle sea breeze, or perching at a Karaka leaner with a refreshing drink. The thoughtful inclusion of greenery in oversized white pots softens the hardscape, adding to the resort-like feel and making it an ideal spot for everything from daytime brunches to evening drinks.
Seamless Interior Style: Dining & Bar.
Moving inside, the coastal modern aesthetic continues with a muted palette of sage green, natural timbers, and deep teal upholstery. Our dining chairs and bar stools play a crucial role in enhancing this sophisticated yet relaxed atmosphere. For the main dining areas, guests are invited to sit comfortably on our elegant white timber Icho Stacking Chairs, which perfectly align with the clean, minimalist silhouette of the interior. These are expertly paired with our luxurious Solid Oak Table Tops and sturdy white Hydra Table Bases, creating a refined and cohesive look for every meal.
For the lively bar and casual seating areas, the natural timber Icho Bar Stools were specified, bringing warmth and organic texture to the space. These are matched with complementary Solid Oak Timber Tops and robust Hydra Bar Leaner Bases, providing both style and practicality for socialising. The vertical timber battens, upholstered banquettes, and thoughtful plant styling are all brought together by the consistent quality and design of our furniture, reinforcing the welcoming, calm, and light-filled ambiance.
