Nestled next to the prestigious Tamahere Country Club, Mixture Café is a space where striking architecture meets everyday comfort. Designed with a warm and inviting atmosphere, the café blends natural materials, soft hues, and abundant sunlight to create a setting that feels both vibrant and relaxing.
With the café’s close ties to the Tamahere Country Club, the choice of furniture was a crucial element in ensuring accessibility and comfort for an older clientele. Upholstered chairs with supportive arms provide ease of movement, while sturdy tables offer stability and practicality. A carefully considered floor plan allows for a variety of seating options—intimate two-seater tables for quiet catchups, larger communal settings for groups, and low lounge-style arrangements perfect for a relaxed coffee and cake moment.
Alfresco dining is also a key feature, with an additional 120m² of outdoor seating beneath a stunning cedar-lined ceiling, seamlessly integrated with adjustable louvres. This clever design allows the roof to open, inviting in the sun when the weather permits. The layout has been thoughtfully planned, with plush banquet seating down the centre, paired with our star outdoor table base and teak table tops. This combination provides a flexible solution for larger groups, by seamlessly joining tables together or separating them for more intimate settings. The rest of the outdoor space features a mix of round and square outdoor tables, catering to both social gatherings and private conversations.
Our furniture selection enhances the café’s sophisticated yet welcoming design, complementing the bespoke interior details—such as the distinctive dried flower wall—while ensuring a practical and enjoyable dining experience. Whether indoors or out, Mixture Café is a place to connect, unwind, and enjoy.
