A modern club experience beyond the course.

Located in Mount Maunganui, Omanu Golf Club has long been a destination for golfers, members, and visitors alike. As the club continues to grow, recent upgrades have enhanced the experience both on and off the course, creating welcoming spaces where people can play, practise, socialise, and connect.

Thoughtfully curated for coastal conditions.

Across the club’s upstairs hospitality and recreation areas, commercial furniture was needed for a variety of settings, including the outdoor terrace, driving range, VR golf bays and conference facilities. Each space serves a different purpose, but the overall brief was consistent: create welcoming, comfortable environments that could handle the demands of a busy golf club while being well suited to the coastal conditions of Mount Maunganui.

The result is a versatile venue that caters to everything from casual catch-ups and post-round drinks through to club functions, business events, and community gatherings.

Spaces designed for a club experience.

Upstairs, each area has been designed with a different purpose in mind, creating places where members and guests can gather, unwind, compete, and connect.

The outdoor terrace over looks the beginning of the course, providing an entertaining view for enjoying a beverage or meal after a day out on the green. A mix of Karaka , Raglan and Tahoe bar leaners with Parker bar stools creates a welcoming atmosphere that encourages people to settle in and stay awhile. Our outdoor collection has a clean and modern aesthetic and has been built to withstand coastal use, perfect for the Mount.

Nearby, the driving range offers a different experience. Here, bar leaners featuring our solid oak tops and Harper bases paired with Barry bar stools create comfortable viewing points where members can practise, socialise, and enjoy the outlook across the course.

Inside, the VR golf bays bring a modern twist to the club experience. Using the same timber finishes and bar seating helps tie the spaces together while creating a relaxed environment for friendly competition, group bookings, and casual gatherings.

Warmth, comfort, and everyday durability.

Throughout the conference area, natural solid oak table tops bring warmth and character to the space, creating an inviting setting that works equally well for business meetings, club functions, and social events.

A standout feature of the room is the Emi chair. Selected for its clean, contemporary design and commercial durability, the chairs were customised with upholstered seat pads to provide additional comfort during longer meetings and events.

It's a simple enhancement, but one that makes a noticeable difference to the overall experience. Custom seating options like this are something we work with clients on, helping create spaces that feel comfortable and considered while remaining practical for everyday use.
