High in the Southern Alps, nestled between Wanaka and Queenstown, sits Cardrona Alpine Resort. A go to destination for family snow ball fights and serious alpine athletes alike. The newly built Noodle Bar delivers comfort, flavour, and a well deserved resting spot for boarders and skiers in between runs. Located upstairs from the Retail Store, the Noodle Bar is open all-day serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner, with an Asian-inspired menu of flavour-packed noodle bowls, stacked burgers, and crowd-favourite matcha lattes.
We were proud to collaborate with Cardrona Alpine Resort on the furniture fit-out for this high-energy hospitality space, supplying durable, design-forward furniture that supports fast-paced service while maintaining a relaxed and welcoming alpine atmosphere.
Designed for Refuelling, Relaxing & Repeating.
The Noodle Bar is all about ease. Whether guests are popping in for a quick refuel between runs or settling in for a laid-back bite with friends, the space needed furniture that could handle high traffic, changing guest flows, and long days all without compromising style.
The interior balances a modern alpine aesthetic with bold black finishes, warm timber accents, and practical layouts that maximise seating options. Views out across the mountain landscape elevate the experience, while the casual fit-out keeps things grounded, approachable, and comfortable.
Flexible Seating for a Fast-Paced Environment.
To suit a variety of dining styles, from solo diners to larger groups, we supplied a mix of table formats and seating heights throughout the Noodle Bar.
For standard dining, we paired Solid Oak Table Tops with robust black bases to introduce warmth and longevity into the space. The natural timber tops, in 70cm square, 100cm round, and generous 200x80cm formats, provide flexibility while withstanding the demands of constant use. These tops are supported by a combination of our Konus Double Table Bases and Hydra Round Table Bases, delivering excellent stability without visual clutter.
Paired with these settings are the Thomas Chairs in black, chosen for their clean lines, strength, and understated design. Their timeless silhouette anchors the space while allowing the food, views, and atmosphere to take centre stage.
Elevated Casual: Bar & High Seating Zones
For guests looking to perch, pause, or people-watch, bar-height seating plays a key role in the Noodle Bar layout. We supplied both 45cm and 75cm Jack Indoor Bar Stools in black, offering flexibility across different counter heights and seating zones. With their strong profile and minimalist design, the Jack stools integrate seamlessly into the alpine-modern aesthetic while providing long-lasting comfort.
Communal Dining, Mountain Style
Adding to the relaxed, social atmosphere is the Tahoe Outdoor Picnic Table situated on an open air mezzanine (160x83cm, Charcoal). While robust and practical, its design still feels intentional and contemporary, perfect for communal dining, shared meals, and easy conversation after a morning on the slopes.

The success of the Noodle Bar fit-out lies in its balance of durability, comfort, and style. Every table, chair, and stool was selected not just for its look, but for its ability to perform in a busy alpine hospitality environment.
Black finishes ground the space visually, natural oak tops add warmth and texture, and clean-lined seating supports an efficient layout without feeling utilitarian. The result is a venue that let’s the panoramic alps through the triple height windows take centre stage. As always we are proud to be apart of a truly kiwi experience.
