Pablo: A restaurant designed around sharing

Located within The Sands Pāpāmoa Beach, Pablo is a Latin-inspired restaurant and cocktail bar that brings bold flavours and relaxed hospitality to a growing community.

With a menu designed around sharing, from handmade empanadas and fresh coastal ceviche to slow-cooked dishes and wood-fired mains, Pablo welcomes diners for casual lunches and dinner as well as special occasions and group gatherings.

Across the restaurant, the furniture needed to support these different dining styles while complementing the warm, lively character of the space. Pablo selected a varied mix of commercial furniture, bringing together dark oak, black finishes and olive green seating inside, with travertine-look surfaces and softer grey tones in the patio dining area.

Creating distinct dining zones

Pablo's layout offers several different places to sit, so the furniture plays an important role in defining each area while keeping the restaurant feeling connected.

At the centre, a curved partition divides the main dining area into two distinct zones. Olive green Logan chairs feature on one side, while black Grace chairs are used on the other, creating subtle variation across the space. A mix of round, square and rectangular tables provides flexibility for couples, smaller groups and Pablo's shared style of dining.

Beyond the main restaurant, the patio creates another dining zone. Large glass walls allow the space to be fully enclosed, giving it a light, open feel while creating a natural extension of the restaurant.

Furniture for flexible dining

Solid Oak table tops in dark oak bring warmth to the main dining area, paired with black Hydra round table bases for a simple, understated finish. Grace and Logan chairs provide two distinct seating styles, while Grace bar stools introduce a more casual bar-height option.

In the enclosed patio, the palette becomes lighter. Travertine Toulouse table tops are paired with black Star aluminium table bases and dove grey Emi chairs, creating a contrast to the darker finishes inside while maintaining a connection between the two spaces.

A charcoal Tahoe outdoor picnic table provides generous seating for groups, adding another practical option for the restaurant's social, shared approach to dining.

Made for dining together

The result is a flexible mix of restaurant tables, commercial chairs and bar stools giving customers plenty of choice in how and where they settle in. Different table formats make practical use of the available space, while the varied seating and finishes give each dining zone its own character without feeling disconnected.
