The 19th - Where golf meets hospitality.

Client is The 19th Bar.

Interior designer is Architect People

Photographer is Matt Queree

The 19th is New Plymouth's first golf simulator bar, combining immersive golf technology with a premium hospitality experience. Working alongside Architect People, we helped realise the client's vision by selecting commercial furniture that balanced comfort, durability, and a cohesive aesthetic. With dedicated spaces for dining, socialising, and simulator play, every furniture selection was chosen to support the way guests experience the venue.

Creating spaces with purpose.

The venue needed to feel like more than a sports bar. Each area required its own identity while maintaining a consistent look and feel throughout. Furniture needed to withstand the demands of a busy hospitality environment, remain comfortable for longer visits, and be easy to maintain. Matching finishes across multiple seating styles, while meeting a tight programme, added another layer of complexity.

Matching furniture to function.

Working closely with Architect People, we supplied colour and material samples, recommended products that aligned with the design vision, and helped coordinate furniture selections around available stock to meet the project timeline.

The venue was carefully zoned to support different customer experiences. The bar features Walter backed bar stools in Chestnut alongside Bruce backless stools in black vinyl, paired with bar leaners that encourage casual gatherings.

The restaurant area combines Hydra table bases with Toulouse marble table tops and Barry dining chairs in black vinyl, creating a comfortable setting for meals and conversation. Within the simulator bays, Alexander leather armchairs and two-seater sofas provide relaxed lounge seating that encourages guests to settle in and enjoy the experience.

Across the venue, matching finishes and complementary materials create a consistent visual identity while ensuring each zone serves its own purpose.

Built for lasting hospitality.

Today, The 19th delivers a hospitality experience that feels welcoming, refined, and distinctly different. From quick drinks at the bar to extended dining and time spent in the golf simulators, the furniture supports every part of the customer journey.

With 62 commercial dining and bar seats supplied, alongside lounge seating throughout the simulator spaces, the venue offers flexibility without compromising on comfort or durability. By combining carefully selected hospitality furniture with thoughtful planning and reliable stock availability, the project was completed within a tight timeframe while delivering a cohesive space built for everyday commercial use.
